The new PA will have the following responsibilities:
+ Provide surgical first assist (high percentage of position)
+ Perform patient evaluations 
+ Casting and splints 
+ Joint aspirations and injections
+ Fracture reductions
+ Post-op follow-ups and rounding
+ Call coverage is 1/10 ER 
+ Patient education
+ Order diagnostic test and review results 

Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified.  Previous orthopaedic/surgical/trauma experience not required.   The new PA must be effective in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.  Of course, the PA must have excellent interpersonal skills and have a great work ethic.  Rockford offers a reasonable cost of living, has universities, regional airport and provides access to Chicago.  Salary depends on experience.  There is a bonus that can add up to 10% plus extra pay for additional call coverage.  Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided which includes a 401k profit sharing plan.  Please send your resume to the attention of Fred Perlman at: e.perlman@gte.net
