Pain Medicine is a combination of Orthopedics, Neurology and Psychiatry.   Growing Practice with Offices in Orem/Provo, Utah and Nephi Utah.   We work with the major Neurosurgeons in the area as well as all levels of Primary Care Physicians.   DR. Gordon George is an Anesthesia Inverventional Spine Physician.   We specialize in Procedures and Medication Management.

Physicain and Physician Extender both perform Initial Evaluations and Consultations and Followup and Medications Management.   Dr. George performs spinal procedures to the Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Spine.

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is trained to perform in-office procedures - such as Occipital Nerve block, Spinus and Para-spinus injections, Cluneal Nerve injections, Ilio-inguinal injections, Sub-deltoid and Trochanteric Bursa Injections, Intercostal Nerve blocks, etc. 

The Physician will Train you fully in all procedures and is present for your procedures.  We will Train and Teach you completely - We realize that it may take a few months for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to feel comfortable with procedures - good learning environment. Dictation and Written Notes - Medical Assistants Chaparone in room and take notes, so you may concentrate on the patient.

We are looking for a person who is not affraid to work in this challanging field. We do not believe in high dose Narcotics - We believe in a balance of interventional procedures, Modalities such a physical therapy and TENS, and Opioid, Anti-inflamatory, and Neuropathic Medicatins.  We will teach you the nomenclature, medications and proctor you in Consultation/Evaluation Process.

Job Description A General Surgery Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  The position will be a split between the OR and the Clinic.  Surgery cases include hernia, gallbladder, abdominal, bowel, breast, dermatology, as well as other cases.  Specific responsibilities include: surgical first assist, consultation and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. 

Successful candidate should be hard-working and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.  Previous surgical experience preferred, but will train.  Successful candidate must be NCCPA-certified.  This group desires someone that has Texas roots!  The position is 40 hours per week and there is minimal call if any.  Preference will be given to local candidates!  A new candidate most have a TX license or at least have started the application process.  This location is in a beautiful northern suburb of the Houston, TX area.

Client is a community hospital replacing their PA who left after 5 years.  The core medical staff is 5 PCP's and two PA's.  The major responsibilities are working alone in a rural health clinic with 1st and 2nd assist call for the hospital ER.  The ER averages 75-80 patient visits/month.  Call is 1:4.
