The Department of Medicine of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC is seeking qualified full-time Physician Assistants (PA) to provide care for hospitalized patients on the inpatient Medical Service under the direction of hospitalist physicians. Responsibilities include taking histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays, and treating common inpatient conditions. In addition, PAs may be trained in the evaluation and triage of patients admitted to the medical service so that patients are placed on the appropriate medical wards. 

Candidates must be graduates of an ARC-PA accredited program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants with state licensure. Interested applicants should contact

Responsibilities include:
. Surgical first assist (25% to 30% of job) . Office/Clinic - patient evaluations . Casting and splinting. Call is 1/5 or 1/6. Reduction of fractures and dislocations . Joint aspiration and injections (sin-visc, cortisone etc.). Will run a clinic. Pre and post-operative H&P's and follow-up. Hospital rounding . Write scripts 
. Evaluate X-ray, CT scan and MRI. Work week is 40 to 45 hours
