Busy, well-established and prestigious neurosurgical practice in Arlington, Texas seeks a highly motivated licensed PA with strong clinical, surgical, interpersonal and organizational skills.  Duties include assisting in surgery, evaluating patients in the office setting, and hospital rounds.  There is essentially no ER call.  Work in an excellent environment with a very positive, motivated, exceptionally friendly and skilled support staff.  If you enjoy working with an enthusiastic neurosurgeon and exceptional staff with a great outlook, this is the job for you. Surgical experience is a plus, however not mandatory.  We will also consider new graduates with a neurosurgical interest.  Our practice primarily deals with spine-related issues. We are willing to train the right candidate if no prior experience.  There is essentially no Emergency Room call as the practice is an elective spine practice.

Springfield College is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Physician Assistant Studies. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track appointment, beginning in the Fall of 2007. Primary responsibilities include instruction in areas of medical expertise, participation in clinical assessment and procedures laboratories, assisting with clinical education coordination, student advisement, scholarship, and college service. A Master's degree, current NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant, and at least two years of clinical experience are required. Teaching experience strengthens candidacy for the position. Continuing clinical practice is encouraged.

The School of Health Sciences and Rehabilitation Studies includes programs in OT, PT, PA, EMSM, communication disorders and rehabilitation services. Team teaching strategies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and active student learning are priorities of the School.

Two fulltime faculty positions for the new developing PA program. Responsibilities include approximately half-time academic responsibilities (curriculum development, student admissions, teaching, evaluation) and half-time primary care clinical responsibilities. One position will be in school-based clinics and the other in a clinic serving a homeless population. Possibility for NHSC payback. Both positions are based in the department of Family Medicine.
