Job Description Single specialty group of Orthopaedic Surgeons seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant.  The new Physician Assistant will work directly with a "Sports" Ortho.  The PA will have the opportunity to work with local high schools and colleges, run sports clinics and go to football games.  The new PA will also provide H&P's, surgical first assist, casting, patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting.  The PA will practice 80% sports and handle up to 50% first assist!  Minimal call coverage of three days per month and no weekends!

Successful candidate is self-motivated, independent thinker, confident and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.  The new PA must have previous experience in any of the following areas: Athletic Trainer, Ortho Tech., Ortho PA or Surgical PA.  The community offers excellent schools, affordable housing, regional airports, several colleges, and a lot of culture and history.  The location has great all season weather (average temperature of 65 degrees!) and is a nice place to raise a family.

 Preferred: a Ph.D. degree; academic administrative experience; excellent clinical experience, a proven commitment to life-long learning, dedication to community service and demonstrable ability to develop health care partnerships are preferred.

Job Description Orthopaedic Surgeon with a Spine Fellowship seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  The Doctor's practice has a very strong focus on treating spine cases with some general cases.  He has a Fellowship in Spine and an excellent reputation in the community!

The new PA will work side by side with the Doctor.  The position is approximately 50% to 60% surgical and the balance in the office!  The PA will provide patient evaluation and education, first assist, writing scripts, and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting.  Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified, enjoy surgery, confident, and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.  The practice is located in Springfield, which is a Premier City of over 100k and that is only 2.5 hours to Chicago!  The area provides lots of arts, culture, medical school and many things to do.  The location provides reasonable cost of living, good schools and access to a major metro area.
