Job Description General Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks a second full-time Physician Assistant.  The Doctor is focused on total joints, sports and general orthopaedics.  The group consists of Physical Therapists, PA, Athletic Trainer and a RN.

The position consists of 60% office and 40% surgical first assist.  Cases will focus on total joint and sports.  The new PA will be able to run their own clinic at a satellite location!  The majority of responsibilities include: evaluations of injury, cortisone and sin-visc injections, removing casts and pins, casting and splinting, writing scripts, patient education, ordering and reviewing lab results.  Preferred candidate should be NCCPA-certified, and have Ortho PA experience.  The Doctor would consider training a PA that has prior background in any of the following: ATC, Orthopaedic Preceptorship or Fellowship, Nurse, Medic, Physical Therapist and any ancillary medical experience.  The candidate should be able to function on their own and also be a team player.

The location is 40 minutes to Nashville, which offers all the cultural amenities of a great city.  The location provides great lakes, low cost of living, good schools and all year round outdoor activities.

Eligibility: Degree Required: Physician Assistant Applicants: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and a master’s degree either in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field. Physician Applicants: A history of involvement with Physician Assistant education. Preferred: Earned doctorate from an accredited university in a health care field and one academic degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

The Primary & Ambulatory Care Section of General Internal Medicine is currently recruiting for a full-time position which be filled by either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This NP/PA will be responsible for the coordination of care and co-management of general medical health care needs for ~126 acute and long term mental health inpatients. He/she will provide medical consultation working closely with a general medical internist and coordinate care with the mental health team. Care will be provided using an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach. The position will be housed at the Brockton Division of VA Boston Healthcare System, Brockton, MA. The work schedule for the position will be Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. 

The position entails leadership in the application of knowledge and skills in organizing, processing and improving patient care outcomes at the program level. The incumbent will serve as an expert to identify, diagnose, and recommend treatment for preventative and problem specific patient care, and collaborate with team members in methods and research to improve patient and health care delivery systems.
Physician Assistant candidates must be a graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant training program of at least 12 months in length and currently certified by the NCCPA.

A Master's Degree is preferred. Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is highly desirable. Experience as a physician assistant in the field of mental health is preferred.
