FLORIDA (Clearwater/St. Petersburg area) Physician Assistant (Ortho) Orthopaedic Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The position consists of a minimum of 40% first assist and the balance is office. The new PA will work directly with a General Orthopaedic Surgeon. The PA will handle total joint, knees, general and fracture cases. Responsibilities include: patient evaluations and education, removing casts and pins, consultation, ordering and reviewing lab tests, writing scripts, rounds, injections and first assist. The new PA will have the opportunity to run a clinic. Call coverage is 1/5. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. The group will consider a new graduate PA with prior work experience as an Athletic Trainer or Exercise Physiologist. Previous Orthopaedic experience preferred, but will train! The group prefers local candidates and they must have a Florida license or have already applied for one! The new PA will be employed by the Orthopaedic Group and will have a very strong benefits package. The position is located in an upscale community in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area of Florida. Compensation: Base salary range: depends on experience, plus production bonus. The production bonus is 10% of net collections from surgical assists.
