Philadelphia
University’s Physician Assistant Studies Program is seeking an
organized, energetic physician assistant for the position of Assistant
Clinical Coordinator. This unique position is a hybrid – approximately
half of the time will be spent in the didactic (classroom phase) of the
program and the other half will be spent on the clinical rotation
phase. Responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Coordinator with
clinical site development, student assignments, coordination of
clinical faculty, student site visitation, interfacing with clinical
preceptors, student advising, and general supervision of the learning
experience at clinical sites. This position will work closely with the
Clinical Coordinator and administrative staff, as well as our entire
faculty team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to
develop their lecturing expertise as well as assist with the
administrative functions of the clinical education program. This
full-time, 12-month faculty position also offers a clinical practice
day each week.
Applicants must be a graduate of an ARC-PA
accredited PA Program, have NCCPA certification, and have the minimum
of a Master’s of Science degree. The successful candidate will possess
excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. They
will also possess a strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet
software. Experience with the E*Value data management system is
desirable. Previous experience as a faculty member is desirable;
experience as an assistant/associate clinical coordinator or clinical
coordinator is highly preferred.
Travel is required (most
travel is local, but there is some travel to distant sites); the
successful candidate must have a driver's license and car.

University of Wisconsin La Crosse Gundersen Lutheran Health System Mayo Clinic
Health System Tri-Partnership Physician Assistant Program invites interested
physician assistants and physicians to apply for the position of Program
Director. This is a well-established, top ranked program with a history of small
class sizes and 100% PANCE pass rates with scores consistently in the top 10%
nationally. We are fully staffed, with a faculty consisting of 3 physician
assistants and 3 physicians, and are accredited through September 2017. The
tri-partnership provides for excellent clinical training, with guaranteed
rotations for our students provided by the Gunderson Lutheran Health System and
Mayo Clinic Health System. The Physician Assistant Program is one of six
graduate and undergraduate programs in the Health Professions
Department.
The program director position is either Assistant/Associate
Professor (tenure track) or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor
(Instructional Academic Staff). Candidates with a PhD (or equivalent) will be
considered for a tenure-track appointment. Candidates with clinical doctorate
degrees (MD, DO or equivalent), or a master’s degree will be considered for an

Primary responsibilities of the
Program Director include managing the day-to-day operations of the program,
managing the program finances, facilitating program assessment and strategic
planning, providing positive representation for the program in a variety of
settings (university, professional, community), and maintaining excellent
relationships with our clinical partners. The position also includes teaching in
areas of clinical expertise and program need, scholarship, and professional
development.
Candidates for the position must have a minimum of master’s
degree with current NCCPA certification and eligibility for WI licensure, or
have an MD or DO degree with current licensure and board certification.
Additional requirements include 1 year of full time clinical work experience,
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well
within a collaborative multi-institutional program. Applicants should have a
familiarity with the PA profession including knowledge of current issues
affecting PA education and practice. Candidates (doctoral degree) seeking a
tenure-track appointment must possess the ability to establish and sustain a
program of independent scholarship.
Other desirable qualities of
applicants include a history of demonstrated effective leadership, previous
administrative and organizational experience, prior teaching experience
(clinical or university), clinical experience beyond the required 1 year, and
interests or teaching skills in areas which complement our current PA program

The College of Allied Health Sciences
at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) seeks nominations
and applications for the position of Academic Coordinator, Department of
Physician Assistant Studies (PA). The emerging department will provide master’s
level education for physician assistants. The first class is expected to
matriculate in August 2014.
Responsibilities: The Academic Coordinator
is a 12-month full-time position that reports to the program director/chair, and
will plan, develop and manage the didactic portion of the PA program curriculum
within the guidelines of the ARC-PA Standards. Work with department and college
leadership to attain and maintain accreditation and NCCPA certification.
Recruit, develop and retain qualified faculty to deliver didactic portion of the
curriculum as well as teach in areas of expertise. Participate in admissions
activities and provide advising and academic counseling of
students.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an
accredited PA program, possess a graduate-degree (master’s or doctorate), be
NCCPA certified with a minimum of two years of clinical experience, and hold a
current license in Tennessee or be eligible for licensure. Experience in PA
higher education is desired. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
experience.

Academic Faculty Physician Assistant

seeks applicants for a full-time Academic faculty position for our Academic
Master’s degree Physician Assistant Program. Responsibilities include
coordinating/teaching and evaluating the effectiveness of assigned courses and
modules in the didactic curriculum. As a member of the academic team he/she
will participate in the coordination, instruction, and evaluation of student’s
clinical skills through medical simulation and small group activities as well as
academic advising. The successful candidate will be a certified Physician
Assistant with excellent communication skills, a positive and collaborative
approach to teaching with a minimum of two years clinical practice. Previous
teaching and/or administrative experience is desirable and a Master’s degree or
higher is required. Position has faculty rank based on previous teaching
experience and is eligible for tenure track appointment. Faculty members have
the option of pursuing limited clinical practice, and participation in
national/state PA associations is encouraged. Pacific University is located in
