This is an opportunity to join a busy Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in suburban Virginia about 1 hour south of Washington, D.C. This collegial and family-oriented office seeks a surgical PA for a growing adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgery practice in Fredericksburg, VA. Our team consists of three surgeons and 5 mid-level providers with significant experience in cardiothoracic surgery. We are seeking an additional PA to join our team. The practice supports a 400+ bed large regional medical center with a new Level II Trauma status.

Responsibilities include first assisting, EVH and ERAH, hospital rounds, clinic, and call. The ideal candidate will have cardiac surgery experience and/or have completed a surgical residency. This 25-bed acute care facility is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join an established team of two physicians and another physician assistant. This person will be seeing a cross section of patients needing a variety of care. The hours are Monday through Friday. The Physician Assistant will share emergency room coverage on an on-call basis with three others, as well as see patients at the nearby nursing home and in the rural health clinic. The hospital offers numerous outpatient services, acute care services, and is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center. Outpatient services include physical therapy, cardiac rehab, a psych clinic, and a wellness center, as well as routine outpatient laboratory, radiology, and ultrasound.
