Instructor (Physician Assistant) in Neurological Surgery, College

Professional certification required. Four years experience in a related specialty area preferred. Eligibility for certification by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners is required. Prior leadership experience and demonstrated ability to facilitate change is preferred. Must be able to evaluate and manage both inpatients and outpatients on the Neurological Surgery Service; provide primary and specialized care to the patient population; provide direct care at the physician assistant level to spine and other neurosurgery patients; this includes direct supervision of care to these patients and their family; provide assistance in surgery at the physician assistant level; assist in performing complete health histories, physicals and discharge summaries; able to analyze, interpret and prioritize subjective and objective patient data; provide appropriate levels of administrative support, research support and maintain current license.

Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add two full-time PA's to their team.  Both positions will be a split between the OR and the Clinic.  One position will support a Total Joint Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon and the other will support a Foot and Ankle Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon.  Both positions have responsibilities for providing first assist, running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre and post-H&P's, injections (small joint, trigger point and sin-visc), consultation and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting.  Both positions have no call and minimal or no weekends.  Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified.  Previous ortho experience preferred, but will train a new graduate that has strong interest in ortho.  We prefer a candidate that has ties to the west coast.

Central Oklahoma ED is seeking an experienced PA to join their staff. You will be one of several PA's covering the ER. Shifts will be 12 hour rotations, 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off. Coverage is 24 hours and schedules will be set for 4 month blocks and then change so that all shifts are covered with equal effort by all. This department does trauma so we need a solid P.A. with previous trauma experience. Physician group offers backup when needed. Pay periods will be 84 hours. Salary will be $50-55/hr D.O.E. for a total of $120k plus a generous benefit package. Extra sign-on and relocations package. All amenities are available on site. Good schools, plenty of recreation, good shopping, affordable housing, many cultural outlets.

Syringa General Hospital is an acute care, 15-bed Critical Assess Hospital with approximately 95 Full and Part Time Employees as well as several Per Diem staff members.  Our scope of services include 24 hour ER services and ambulance, Inpatient and Outpatient Med/Surg, Physical Therapy, Swingbed Care, Obstetrics with two LDR rooms, hospital laboratory, Home Health and Hospice care.  Our radiology services include Mammography, Ultrasound, CT and mobile MRI.  A surgeon travels from Lewiston to Syringa twice a month to perform minor surgeries including laparoscopic procedures.  Other specialists also visit Syringa on a regular basis.
